The Office

- Release date:24 March 2005 (USA)
- Genre:
- Summary:A fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody about modern American office life. "The Office" delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Regional manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is a single, middle-aged man who is the boastful tour guide for the documentary. With unshaken enthusiasm, Michael believes he is the office funnyman, a fountain of business wisdom and his employees' cool friend. He has no clue that his employees tolerate his inappropriate behavior only because he signs their paychecks. Painstakingly trying to be liked and to look cool, Michael comes off alternately absurd and pathetic. His prize possession is his "World's Greatest Boss" mug -- which he had to buy for himself. I hate people who just complain about the show now that Steve Carell is gone. I still enjoy it. It may be past it's prime, but I still laugh at it each week.

This site is so worthless now. Everyone posts worthless links and the crawler is too ridiculous to even acknowledge. FIX THIS SHIT!

I hope Dwight and Angela become end-game! I know Dwight just courted that one girl in "The Farm" but still... other plans can happen!

So, anyone know when the new episodes are coming?

You really made an account to say how bad Steve is?
You should be banned, he was a great actor on the show and pretty much made the show. imo the show declined after he left -

I appreciate The Office for so many different reasons and on so many different levels but I have to say that one of the biggest reasons (besides making me crack up even when I'm upset) I love it is because they refer to previous episodes and not many shows do that, like they will repeat funny jokes/pranks and will replay funny moments. I just think that is more effort on the writing aspect of the show and that's whats up The Office!!!!!!!!! I love Dweight. Jus Sayin.

Dwight isnt getting his own pilot as NBC turned it down. This might mean Dwight stays on the show til the end of Season 9 but I cant confirm that.

@dddd0x There is a good chance that Dwight will have his own spinoff during or after Season 9. I myself don't see how it will work, Schrute Farms is a bed and breakfast operation what are they going to do just film Dwight serving people every episode? I think they should just keep him aswell as B.J Novak (Ryan) on the show, aswell as everyone else until the show's gone. They should've done that with Steve too, the show would be a lot better than it is now.

Anyway has anyone else noticed that putlocker, sockshare and all the good mirrors suddenly vanished? o.o -
is dwight/rainn getting his own show? when is it starting?
its funny you should mention that bcuz i was thinking of watching the last few episodes before michale left to, but im scared ill end up balling my eyes out =[

Honestly it's gonna be really sad when Dwight leaves next season too... I'm not looking forward to that at all, not one bit, and even more sad when the show ends :'(
6 years ago -
I am also really sad :( Idk why but today I made myself watch the least episode with Michael in it and I've been teary eyed pretty much ever since.. I keep googling "so sad that Michael Scott left" "cast members day of Michael's last day" etc. and it just makes me even more sad.. Why couldn't they just have Steve's contract last the whole entirety of the show?! I don't care what anyone says, they could've kept right on going with Michael in the show and it would still be how it used to be... We miss you so much Michael please come back!!!

so sad Micheal is gone i mean so much of it revolvled around him and he was so good and funny i and many others will miss him greatly

Oh man I really do too, I hope The Office never stops airing new episodes!

Honestly though I think they could go on at least another 5 Seasons at the rate they're going.
(Minus this whole, Nellie issue of course)
If I were the writers of the show I would milk it for every second I could get.
They love it, I love it, we all love it! -
Hope theres a season 9!!

@Red_Five OMG you just said what I was trying to say in the New Episode's comments about Robet just backing down to Nellie, like you said Robert is extremely witty and cunning and sly, he could've gotten Nellie out of that Office with 2 words if he wanted to but he didn't...
OK I would love to be Andy's lawyer - this is ridiculous... And what is the deal with Robert California?? He used to be so cunning, clever and confident. Now he acts like a complete pansy. Nellie is not the manager! Grow a pair Robert and tell her to get out. Andy sure tried.

@AndrewGarrett I never said he didn't.

Steve Corell (I don't know how to spell his last name:P) did leave the office willfully. He said he wanted to spend more time with his wife, and that he wanted more time for big movies. -
I miss how The Office used to be so funny
6 years ago -
I especially don't see how you could enjoy the show more without him, he worked at Dunder Mifflin for years and years and played his Character perfectly while at the same time brought an unbelievable feeling of motivation on the Set. Steve was a very very important part of this show as well as the Casting Crew, the Crew said themselves that after Steve left it was very hard for them to continue on the way things had been going, but they had to for the fans that love the show. Yes, Michael has some pretty dumb and stupid moments but derp, that's the whole point. The more stupid it is to me, the funnier it is. That's just good humor.
@AshlieTokesky Well he was the Boss of that Branch, and basically the main Character in the show so of-course he's going to be focused on more... I don't disagree with you about the other cast getting a chance to really be in the spotlight but they were already in the spotlight before hand, everyone who was on the show was. And I doubt he got sick of the show, at all. His contract ended is what happened, he didn't get sick or tired of it how could he?
@smackman2323 So, you lose interest in the show and label it as stupid because the writers went all out and decided to make a lot of Steve's parts literally stupidly hilarious. I mean to each his own and we all have different opinions but to me your reasoning for labeling Steve's character as generally "outlandish and stupid" sounds pretty ridiculous. If anything his character was the complete opposite of that, while at the same time remaining hilariously funny. Hence > the more "stupidly outlandish" something is > the more likely it's going to be downright funny. -
Sometimes MS character was a bit much. The show almost lost me for a bit because the stuff he did was just so outlandish and stupid it made it unbearable because you just knew no one could be that dumb. I am enjoying the show with out him
6 years ago -
love the office but fuked up that michael scott is not there anymore feel weird
6 years ago -
Totally agree with you AshlieTokesky!
I actually like the show more without Michael. I loved him of course, but when Michael was there the show basically revolved around him. Now that he's gone, the rest of the cast (made up of incredibly talented people) really has a chance to shine and we get to see their characters evolve. It's awesome. Perhaps if they had made all the characters more important sooner and gave Steve a little less face time he wouldn't have gotten sick of the show so soon.
