That is, until the precinct gets a new commanding officer, Captain RAY HOLT (Andre Braugher). Captain Holt believes in rules and regulations, two concepts that have long been overlooked by the detectives in the 99th precinct. Jake's colleagues are a brilliant and capable bunch, but lack a certain level of discipline and leadership. I admit when I saw this show advertised I was real skeptical considering the cheap comedy that's been around lately, bout all that can really be found in this kind of humor is either really bad, enough to tide me over or canceled. But this is funny as hell! I think I will have no trouble getting into this show. -

Shaky cam is the proper term, but it's awesome and a staple of the police comedy genre. Just look at The Job and Reno 911!

I was wondering if I would ever see a spoof on crime dramas the way they did scrubs, and this just might fit the bill. The only thing that bothered me about the show is that it has shaky cam the same as the office and park and rec, it works better for those shows but I might get used to it here.
