In the mood for some animated action? Pixar has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated superhero movie, The Incredibles 2, which tells us a few things about how the family is adjusting to their new life as superheroes and a look at the new villain.

The project is a sequel to Pixar’s 2004 film The Incredibles, which presented a world where superheroes were forced to go underground. Two of the heroes, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, settle down and have three kids: Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack. But Bob Parr, Mr. Incredible’s secret identity, is bored with life in the suburbia, and moonlights as a hero, listening to the police scanner after dark. When he’s enticed back into the world of heroics with the emergence of a new supervillain named Syndrome, the whole family dons their new outfits to save the world.

The new movie picks up right after the first, and we see the Parr family trying to make do with their quiet domestic life while carrying superhuman abilities. Dash (voice of Huck Milner) complains about vegetables at dinner while Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) has an outburst over their secret lives. We also learn that the government is welcoming superheroes back into the spotlight, and to help with that, they’re allowing Elastigirl (voice of Holly Hunter) to return - "the elephant in the room", as Violet remarks. While she goes off to fight crime, Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) is left to manage the family back at home, helping with math homework and trying to contain Jack-Jack, who has begun exhibiting a range of mindblowing powers. Their mission is derailed when the new villain emerges. But the Parrs don’t run away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side.

The voice cast also includes Brad Bird, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush, and Isabella Rossellini.

Written and directed by Brad Bird (Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille) and produced by John Walker (The Incredibles, Tomorrowland) and Nicole Grindle (Sanjay’s Super Team short, Toy Story 3 associate producer), Disney, Pixar’s Incredibles 2 will be in theaters on June 15, 2018.
