“The only thing more extraordinary than their music is his story.”

This should tell you a few things about the newest upcoming movie on the block, Bohemian Rhapsody. A brand new trailer has been released for the Freddie Mercury's biopic, the lead singer of the British rock band Queen. The clip will make your music buds happy.

The footage shown in the clip doesn't focus on the story, but on the remarkable physical resemblance between Mr. Mercury — who dies at 45, in 1991 — and the actor who plays him, Rami Malek (Mr. Robot). The teaser also offers some of his group’s best-known songs, including “Another One Bites the Dust,”“Killer Queen,” “We Will Rock You” and the operatic title track.

The movie had its share of behind-the-scenes drama, as the original director, Bryan Singer (X-Men) left the production before wrap-up. Mr. Singer has been accused in a lawsuit of sexual assault, which he has denied. Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle) completed production on the movie, and it’s not yet clear what the final directorial credit will be.

Bohemian Rhapsody has been in the works since at least 2010, when it was announced that Sacha Baron Cohen was to play Mercury; however, Baron Cohen left the project in 2013 citing “creative differences” with Mercury’s former bandmates. Guitarist Brian May later called Baron Cahen "an arse". (via The Guardian)

Scripted by Anthony McCarten (Darkest Hour), the film also stars Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, Lucy Boynton, Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, Joseph Mazzello, Allen Leech, and Aaron McCusker.

Bohemian Rhapsody opens in theaters on November 2nd.

The official synopsis describes the film as follows:

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.”
