The Fast & Furious franchise continues with its 8th installment. The new trailer from Universal for Fast & Furious 8 has just landed and you can decide for yourselves if it's worth a trip to the theater. Find the clip below.

The movie will center around a mysterious, evil woman played by Charlize Theron (Monster, Mad Max: Fury Road) who convinces Dom (Vin Diesel) to rejoin the world of crime. The whole crew is thrown back into the game in order to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world. You know, the usual.

“It’s time to get lit” is the line that opens the new trailer which you can watch below.

The official synopsis reads:

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.'

Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood are new additions to the cast alongside Theron, joining regular cast members Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell.

In an interview with Variety, Mirren confessed she had “always had a secret hankering” to join the Fast and Furious franchise because she loves driving cars. “Of course,” she added, “When I finally got my chance, I wasn’t driving the bloody car. I was in the back of an ambulance with Jason Statham.”

F. Gary Gray is directing the movie, which is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Michael Fottrell and Diesel.

Fast & Furious 8 opens in cinemas on 14 April, 2017.
